Berry Hill Irrigation, Inc. was founded in 1988 by owners Joe & Gail Davidson. Joe began the business when interest in drip irrigation began to grow on the East Coast. Joe had been growing field strawberries for many years in Virginia. He knew growing berries and vegetables on plastic with drip irrigation would encourage a more diversified group of farmers in the Southeast.
Joe began Berry Hill Irrigation and Supply in his basement and now it has grown to employ 6 full time employees. Drip irrigation has also made many changes in the past few years. The industry now includes orchards, vineyards, nurseries and greenhouses. Drip irrigation is the most efficient and economical way to water any crop with a result of increased yields.
Berry Hill has many new, wonderful products each year. We have expanded our greenhouse and nursery product line to include a variety of controllers and watering systems. Our warehouse is full of inventory and we are proud to say that 85% of the products listed are in stock now! Most orders are shipped the same day they are received.
We pride ourselves in being a small enough company to care about each customer, but large enough to handle any order or request! Berry Hill is a family-owned and operated business. Just like you we grow fruits and flowers. Our growing experiences help us to relate to your problems, and allows us to 'test' our products on our own crops. We appear annually at various Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland conferences.
We are open Monday - Saturday and like you, we work long hours! We encourage you to come visit with us at our farm and see how well drip works! We are located directly on the south side of Highway 58, 5 miles West of Clarksville, VA. Clarksville runs along the N.C. border and is 60 miles N. of Raleigh, N.C. and 120 miles S.W. of Richmond, VA. In response to popular demand, we are now offering the same quality and service to individual homeowners whodesire the benefits that only a drip irrigation system can offer.
Our materials will be the same commercial quality that our larger customers have been using for years, only sold in smaller quantities. We pride ourselves in having a huge inventory of products so we welcome you stop by to see us. However, if you place a phone order by noon, your order will usually be shipped that same day. We are open 5 days a week to take care of your irrigation needs. Monday thru Friday 8 a.m.--5 p.m. (for other arrangements, please contact your Salesperson).
