Calcium deficiencies are becoming more
and more prevalent. They normally appear during the rapid growing,
flowering and/or fruiting stages. No sources of calcium can
completely overcome these problems. Because of the nature of calcium
deficiency (growing point disorders), Miller Calcium Chelate should be
applied in multiple applications.
Vegetables:
Standing crops - use foliar spray. Apply Calcium Chelate at the
rate of 1/2 lb. to 1 lb. per acre per week in the normal spray
program. The higher rates should be used prior to the time that the
deficiency usually shows up.
Fruit Trees:
Apply 1/2 to 1 lb. Calcium Chelate per acre in a
suitable amount of water for coverage.
Strawberries:
To improve size, shelf-life and firmness, use 1
lb. Miller Calcium Chelate when berries are marble size. Repeat
using 1 lb. per acre when the berries are pink to red.
Use on strawberries at the first sign of fruit buds
showing in the crown. Use on toma`toes, melons & cucurbits when
the plants are 3 - 4 weeks old. Apply 3 to 10 lbs. per acre.
Many uses! Use on strawberries in the fall to
develop the plant and leaf. Use on vegetables during the growing stage and
into the ripening stage. Apply 5 to 10 lbs. per acre.
